Stage Right at Sidcup has been running for over a year now, as a fully inclusive performing arts group aimed primarily at children with special needs, but including children in mainstream education.
Demand has proved so strong that our second Stage Right group opens at Charlton School in Charlton Village in June.
Stage Right provides members with a way to access performance appropriate to their individual needs. Participants, aged between 8 and 19 years, are encouraged to use music, drama, and dance to develop confidence, performance and communication skills.
There will also be opportunities to perform with other GAMD ensembles. In the last year, Stage Right (Sidcup) have performed with the Greenwich Youth Band in Eltham, and will be performing in June with the Greenwich Community Choir as part of the 'GAMD Evening of Music' on 23 June 2008.
Stage Right at Charlton meets: THURSDAYS from 4.30 - 6pm.
Membership costs £30 per term, or £25 if you have family members in other GAMD ensembles, or are a member of more of one ensemble.
