Greenwich Wind Ensemble

• For wind, brass, percussion players from beginner to Grade 8 standard, aged between 7 and 18 years.
  
  
• GWE meets weekly and works towards an end of term concert.
  
  
• In GWE, musicians are split into small groups based on instruments and ability. Specialist tutors lead groups in exploring and developing the musical techniques necessary for successful and enjoyable ensemble playing.
  
  
• In the second half of each session, all the groups combine to form a band. This will help to prepare you for the discipline of Greenwich Youth Band (to which we encourage members to progress, once they have reached the required standard).
  
  
• Whether you are have only been playing for a short time, or whether you are an experienced musician looking for an opportunity to play advanced chamber music together, come and develop essential ensemble playing skills whilst having fun!
• End of term CONCERT during the last session of each term for friends and family, to demonstrate the variety of music learnt during the term.
